Behavioural support is a really tricky thing in the NDIS environment. Thrive365 knows all about it – and we want to share our secrets with you!
Home is really important for a lot of different reasons. Some of the big ones are safety, security and consistency. Those are things that have been lacking for many Australians with disability in the past.
Thrive365 focuses on residents’ wellbeing and developmental milestones in the way we deliver our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services. It’s important to us that all our staff have training in active support and are focused on ensuring residents have real choice and control in their lives.
As a result of creating a safe, consistent and supportive home environment, we find that many of our residents who come to us with severe behaviours of concern quickly realise changes. We see fewer and less frequent incidents, as well as lower severity.
Some of our residents’ families have been amazed at the changes in their loved ones in as short a time as a few months.
That’s why we get so many referrals from behavioural support therapists – they know we understand what they do, and we work with them to support our residents every day.
Do you know an NDIS participant with behaviour concerns who’s looking for a SIL provider? Get in touch and see if we can help.
